Purling brook falls circuit. When you embark on the hike from the purling brook entrance car park you have two options to either turn left or turn right. Purling brook falls is by far my favourite walk to do in spring brook. The purling brook hike is roughly a 5km circuit from start to finish and if you take your time it could easily take you over 90 minutes to do the full circuit.

The trail to the base of purling brook falls is 4kms return 2klm to the falls and takes around 2 hours to complete. It is approximately 5km and takes my partner and about an hour including taking photos to complete. Still plenty of water for a swim but just trickles coming over purling brook falls. A quite windy narrow road leads into the springbrook area of the gold coast hinterland and pb falls.

There is good signage all the way to purling brook circuit. However well worth the trip even in inclement weather. It is easy to park well signed and has a well paved track that takes you by the waterfalls amongst other.

We are fast hikers and did it in about 60 minutes with a short break at the waterfall. A total of 81km return to the campground in 3hrs at an extremely leisurely pace spotting wildlife.

If you follow the path right this will take you directly to the lookout. There are 265 steps on this walk and its easier to walk in a clockwise direction.
